Sarah Cook is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer with a 20+ year career since obtaining her M.S. from Stanford University.  She has worked on new construction, renovations and retrofits, and litigation.  Sarah has been active in ASCE's Structural Engineering Insitute, serving 20 years on technical committees, an Executive Committee, and a national conference committee addressing continuing education programming for engineering professionals.  She is a proud Lampeter-Strasburg district parent.

Sarah has routinely attended board and committee meetings since running for L-S school director in 2023.  As School Director, she wishes to promote meaningful dialogue with the board and administration, and provide professional insights to reduce campus renovation costs.  Shortly before relocating to Lampeter-Strasburg School District, Sarah was selected to join the Planning & Zoning Commission in Mount Prospect, IL, (pop. 56,800) where she was an engaged citizen.

With an emphasis on STEM, Sarah has volunteered with elementary and high school students who would not otherwise have experienced science and engineering programs.   She seeks to ensure that the L-S experience remains comprehensive, offering ample opportunity for varied post-graduate paths, and a prosperous learning environment for each student.
